These essential oils smell absolutely amazing! The oils themselves seem to be great quality, however there are some things to be aware of before purchasing this set. As this is a longer review, please feel free to skip to whichever section you need, or read it all. I’ve described the scents below and you will find my opinion towards the end.WHAT YOU GET:This set of 8 essential oils from Janicorn comes in a small box with dividers. The box measures around 3.875 x 2.125 x 2.375 inches. It’s wrapped in plastic. The dark amber bottles are labelled on the sides as well as the top. They have an easy grip, white cap with breakable ring, which seals the bottles. Each bottle is 5ml and stands slightly over 2 inches tall (including cap) with a diameter of about .875 inches.LAVENDER:The scent of this oil is heavenly. It’s a deep, rich lavender that stimulates my feel-good hormones and makes me feel both blissful and relaxed. It’s very a very familiar, floral and natural scent.PEPPERMINT:When I smell this, I think of candy canes. It’s a sweet peppermint that doesn’t sting the nostrils. It’s smooth. The holidays come to mind with this one.TEA TREE:Some tea tree oils smell almost medicinal – this does not. It has a slight sweetness to it, which makes it a very pleasant scent.ROSE:Roses are exactly what this oil smells like. I picture a fully bloomed, pink roses with thick, lush petals. It’s a really concentrated scent. On a side note, the oil is a bright yellow that looks like it could stain.FRANKINCENSE:This scent also smells pretty concentrated. It’s a sweet type of frankincense. In my head I get the image of fresh frankincense resin straight from the tree. It also has a bit of an exotic vibe.LEMON EUCALYPTUS:This is lemon eucalyptus, as opposed to just eucalyptus by itself. The lemon is omitted in the product title, so hopefully they fix this. The lemon scent comes through on top, with a eucalyptus aroma in the background. The eucalyptus tames the lemon so it’s not so sweet and sour. It’s a natural, soothing scent, which reminds me of a spa. It smells clean.ROSEMARY:This is a deep rosemary scent. It’s almost woodsy. I picture picking fresh leaves from a mature, dark green rosemary bush on a rainy day during twilight. It’s a very refreshing, livening scent.GRAPEFRUIT:This has so much essence of grapefruit. It smells like oils from the skin of the fruit. It’s not overpowering at all. It may be the most subtle scent of the eight. I don’t like grapefruit much, and I find this scent really nice.SOME NOTES:Each bottle has essential oil filled up to the top of the label, or up to 3mm higher, which means they don’t all have the same exact amount. The bottles are a little hard to take out of the box because they sit closely together and they are slightly shorter than the box’s sides. The label looks a bit generic and cheap, however, it is the oil that is the most important.MY OPINION:All of these essential oils smell 100 times better than the less expensive oils I own. They all smell fresh, pure, natural, and clean. Inhaling these is like a kiss to my olfactory senses! They’re all just really lovely, and the scents go a long way. I love that they are pure and don’t contain parabens, preservatives, or synthetic chemicals. They’re really great quality as far as I can tell. This is a nice set of small bottles, with a nice variety of scents.IS IT WORTH IT:As for being something I would be paying almost $120 (current price of $119.99) for, I don’t know if it’s worth it. I mean they are probably the nicest essential oils I have tried, their quality is great, and they smell amazing, but that’s quite a steep price. The notes listed above may not be that important, but given the price, I think these should be remedied. If you can afford them, and love these specific scents, and don’t mind spending this much, I’d go for it.
