Simple, Clean Collagen, Nothing Fancy but It Does the Job
This is about as straightforward as a collagen supplement gets. The label shows hydrolyzed collagen types I and III with 6.7 grams per scoop, no added ingredients, and no fillers, flavors, or sweeteners. If you prefer a simple formula without a long list of extras, this checks that box.The scoop provides 6 grams of protein and 25 calories, which is typical for collagen peptides. Type I and III collagen are the forms most commonly associated with skin, hair, nails, and connective tissue support, so the formulation itself is pretty standard for this category.Mixability is decent. Because it is hydrolyzed collagen, it dissolves fairly easily in coffee, tea, smoothies, or water. Like most unflavored collagen powders it is mostly neutral, though if you drink it straight in plain water you may notice a faint collagen taste. One thing worth noting is the serving size. 6.7 grams per serving is on the lighter side compared to some collagen products that deliver 10–20 grams per serving, so some people may choose to take more than one scoop depending on their goals.Pros:• Very clean formula, collagen only, no additives• Hydrolyzed collagen mixes fairly easily• Neutral flavor works well in coffee or smoothies• Types I and III are the most common for skin and connective tissue supportCons:• Lower dose than many collagen powders• No added vitamin C or cofactors some people prefer• Results from collagen supplements vary person to personOverall, this is a minimalist collagen powder. Nothing fancy, just straight collagen peptides in a modest dose. If you want a clean, no-frills collagen you can add to drinks without extra ingredients, it does the job.

Effective collagen source, easy to fit in a daily routine
I believe in collagen, and collagen peptides. I’ve taken it for years. Now there are many different types and sources, and everyone argues over which is best. This one has types 1 & 3. To me this is the most important. This one helps with joints, tendons, elasticity and skin. I don’t expect any “fountain of youth” I’m 65. My knees hurt. My hands hurt, yep wrinkles and loose skin too. However, I have found collagen helps with these issues. I usually double the dose. The scoop is easy to use. My only complaint is that the jar is narrow and my hand scrapes the edge as I pull the scoop out, even when I tilt the container, but I just dump it into a bigger stackable container. I know what it is🤪. I add it to yogurt, almond milk, or even just water. Why this one. Well, it has what I need, I switched to this one when it came and I did not notice any change in the way I felt, so I feel this is a good one. I can tell when I don’t take collagen. I’m fit, active, and not on any medications so supplements are important to me. It has a fine salt like texture, it doesn’t blow around when you scoop or mix it. That is good because some collagen powders that blow around when you scoop or mix them are sticky on surfaces. It has the usually “blah no flavor taste” , mixes fine, you still get the goo around the glass which you have to swirl to rinse. That’s why I toss it in my yogurt, I don’t like to waste products so I end up trying to wipe it out with my finger, yes, then lick my finger😂😂😂😂I like this this product.

    Great collagen peptides!
This Amazon Basics Collagen Peptides is great! As I’ve gotten older, my skin has changed and my joints have become sore and stiff. About a year ago, I began using collagen peptides. When I first opened the package, I worried about the texture due to the gritty appearance, but was pleasantly surprised. I’ve tried several different brands, and Amazon Basics is the most cost-effective and least gelatinous. I mix it in a glass of cranberry juice and it dissolves completely and doesn’t interfere with the taste of the juice. My only complaint is that it doesn’t have the added vitamins and fiber as my regular brand. And the scoop handle is too long. When the container was mostly full, I had to push the scoop way down to be able to close the lid.

    Less ouch
I’m new to taking collagen. The decision to start was driven by my wife’s desire to get some help with joint pain. We share the same smoothie each morning and so I’m now getting some collagen too.Claimed benefits of collagen include help with bones, joints, ligaments, hair, nails, skin, muscles. There is research supporting these claims.I was curious about the different types of collagen. Apparently, there are six, each with slightly differing benefits. Like many other offerings, this Amazon product lists types one and two. That appears to be the sweet spot for this type of supplement. The Amazon product seems to be of high quality. It does not clump, smell bad, or add any unwanted taste.I was a little surprised the Amazon description and packaging do not list any of the “seals” often found on supplements: GMP, non-GMO, etc. Still, I trust Amazon to market only good products. As with most people and most supplements, I have found that the addition of collagen to my routine has not resulted in any dramatic changes in how I feel. However, I am hopeful and optimistic that, over time, at least a little good is being accomplished in abating some of the woes of my increasingly geriatric body.
