AMAZING AMAZING AMAZINGThe pad brand I used got recalled for maggots and I knew I had to switch. I tried these since they were cheaper than many other well known brands and I do not regret it. They are soft, comfy, and very absorbent. I have endometriosis and my flow is heavy heavy, often lasting two weeks. These keep everything contained and I’ve only had a leak-through once or twice which is honestly a miracle for me. They feel like regular underwear and work wonders, I cannot recommend enough.My only complaint would be that they are a little flimsy. They’ve already started to rip in a couple of places, but given that I’m wearing them for 2+ weeks every month, I can forgive that. I’d rather spend 35 dollars every 6 months than 20 bucks every month on pads that leak and make me itch.

Better than Knix! (First time using period panties)
So, I got the Bambody small while waiting for my small-sized Knix period underwear to arrive. And, boy, is it better than the Knix brand! It’s more comfortable, fitting, and absorbs loads more. I’m actually surprised how much better it is — I was actually expecting it to just be okay.The first time I tried it on, it was more snug than I thought it would be. I was expecting it to be a little roomy but it fit me perfectly, which was a weird thing to feel. I also thought it would work like the overnight pads, which never absorbed as much as I needed and had me setting down towels before sleeping for those “just in case” moments. Nope! Bambody absorbed my worries. No liquid leaked out of the middle. Nothing went on to my towels.And the day was equally worry free. While I still was a bit cautious during the day, checking every now and then, nothing leaked over the sides and back or through the cotton-feeling material.Before I compare it to Knix, there were a few downsides, though YMMV.1) You ONLY get THREE panties, which is not enough for anyone.2) The feeling of liquid definitely gets strong if you have a heavy flow and you have to change every 5 hours. This is not an all day wear, if you were expecting that. Great for the night but definitely have to switch out during the day, like regular tampons, pads, or whatever you might have used previously. If you’re not used to solely relying on pads, you WILL feel your monthly running down and on to the material, if that bothers you. Though, this means, if you’re not on top of switching out, after getting used to menstrual cups or such, you WILL know when it’s been too long from the squishy feeling of the panties.3) You have to hand-wash them and air-dry them — or ignore those instructions, like I do and wash them normally, and tumble dry them on low/medium temperature. The material won’t shrink nor will it become less effective, unless you dry it on high.4) If you air dry them, they take an annoyingly LONG time. Even overnight they’ll still be slightly damp in the morning. Sun drying them shortens this time, but it’s still longer than needed when having to switch between 3 panties. Though, throwing them on a heater/in front of a sun lamp really shortens that time to a more reasonable few hours.5) WHY 3 PANTIES???Now, I immediately noticed the difference between Bambody and Knix when my Knix Heavy Flow Period Kit came in.1) The material for the underwear looks and feels different. The middle is especially different from the rest.2) It doesn’t fit as snug as Bambody, feeling a little loose comparatively.3) Gives you not 1, not 2, but FIVE separate pieces. MUCH better than 3.And then I tried them on for my second cycle. They’re definitely good for period underwear and absorbed a good deal of blood. But, YMMV,1) There is some side leakage, after 3-4 hours, if a heavy flow. Not a great deal, where you’re soaking, but definitely enough to feel and see.2) The sleeping boxers they provide are cute and don’t allow anything to soak through, but there is still the problem of side leakage and a little bit of back-flow.3) Need to change every 3-4 hours, if heavy in flow.So, not as great as Bambody but definitely still good. Either way, whether Bambody or Knix, the one you go with depends on your needs. For now, I use Bambody for the first few heavy days and Knix for the lighter, last days of my period.

Size up for fit! Great for regular flow days
It’s a long review, but stick with me if you 1) are curvy and are worried about finding the right fit or 2) have a flow with super heavy or highly variable days. If you have an athletic or slim body type and light flow, get on with your bad self and thank the period gods for your good fortune… but this review won’t help you a bit.If you’ve got curves, size up (and I mean UP)! I have prominent curves and I’m sure my other curvy girlies can relate to the special hell that is finding a decent underwear fit. When there is more than one number to the left of that decimal? It’s SO much more stressful. Don’t worry, I got you! For reference, I usually wear a M or L depending on brand. That’s US size 8 or 10, waist 29″ or 30″. I have pronounced curves with 10″+ difference between waist & hip measurements (Read: big booty).Sizing with this brand: Size M looks at me and runs. Total no-go with these hips. Ever gotten those refrigerated biscuits in a can? Yeah, it’s that kind of situation. Size L is technically wearable, but still restrictive enough to cause noticeable and unflattering panty lines. If you’re a little more equally distributed and usually wear size M, you’ll probably be fine with a L. For me, Size XL is a comfy fit without any bagging, sagging, or wrinkling. Fits smoothly and can’t be seen under anything with a mid-rise or higher waist.As far as how well they function: These are great for days 3 through the end of my period. If I try to use these on day 1, there will be leak stains around the gusset seams on the outside, but I can wear them for a full work day and they won’t leak through to my pants (or I can use as a backup to a menstrual disc and they will easily handle any leaks). If I try to wear these on day 2, the universe will straight up laugh at me and I will end the day in tears, looking like an unfortunate elevator operator from The Shining. As a backup to another method, it’s iffy. Leaks on day 2 with a menstrual disc or even a super plus tampon that has gone 2 minutes past changing can be downright catastrophic. I only use the Innersy boxers or saalt super absorbency on those days, or supplement with a pad. Those days are penance for sins in a previous life or something. But for medium flow days, or days that start a little heavy and taper off by mid-day, these are perfectly serviceable and comfortable. They don’t make that unnerving noise when I walk that some other period underwear do. They’re cozy soft and forgiving, even if I’m bloated. I love them for lazy days in sweats, for surviving a chilly office on weekdays in the summer, for short walks in the spring, and generally doing every day life stuff despite being on my period and wishing I were at home watching terrible television and eating my body weight in dark chocolate or chex mix. If I have to be more active, they’re fine for a short spurt of exertion here and there, like walking a few city blocks or lifting a few boxes or going up a couple flights of stairs. I wouldn’t want to wear these to the gym or out hiking, but tbh I don’t want to do those things on my period anyway. While the plush softness of this fabric is usually a positive aspect, when combined with sweat it feels a bit saturated and uncomfortable. After an extended period of activity, you’re looking at swamp city and a really unpleasant ride home to peel these suckers off and cry in the shower.BONUS notes: I’ve purchased the lighter color 3-pack and had some durability issues with a pair or two (they literally fell apart after a few washes, but the others held up just fine, so I’m guessing it was a supplier issue and wouldn’t assume an ongoing thing). They will also disintegrate if you accidentally splash bleach in their general vicinity and don’t wash well in warm or hot water. Keep wash water cold, rinse them well when you take them off, and be sure to wash them soon after using. I’ve found these general rules apply with all period underwear in order to keep them in good shape.I also have a couple of pairs of the Bambody with the white waistband – they have held up just fine for the last 5 years! Same absorbency notes for that style, however, it’s not my favorite to reach for since I’ll never be able to avoid the muffin top it gives. This style is far more flattering and the fabric is softer, so if you’re between the two and have curves, this is definitely the style you want.

The comfiest period undies I’ve tried
These are incredibly soft, and the absorbent part isn’t stiff and diaper-feeling like some can be. The high waist has a lot of give, and the seat has FULL coverage. I wore these with leggings and they were invisible. I can’t speak to their absorbency since I have pretty light periods, but I appreciate that the absorbent area goes all the way up the front and back, unlike most other brands that always seem to end too soon. I am currently losing weight and definitely plan to buy more in a smaller size when it’s time. These run true to size if you use the size chart.

Love the panties but the sizing is terrible. They run really large. You have to size down 2 sizes. The problem is that for you to realize that they are really large you have to open the bag and then you can not return them. So I feel that it is part of the business to make people buy the wrong size. There are so many comments about this problem, why not to fix it? or sell them in a resealable bag with a paper protection in the intimate area so that people can try them and return them without problem (if the protection has not been removed of course)?. They get loose after some hours of use so it is better that they a on the tight side as soon as you wear them.

I tried these as a substitute for the Knix leakproof underwear, which I loved intensely until I found out they had PFAS in them. These Bambody ones are certified as PFAS free, so I was very excited to try them. The colours and fabric are really nice, high quality, and the underwear are quite comfortable and true to size. Unfortunately, they really cannot handle anything above light to moderate flow. The absorbent layer doesn’t prevent blood from reaching the edges of the underwear, resulting in a lot of leaks. I usually have to wear them with additional protection on top to boost their absorbency levels. They’re a little inconvenient to clean as well since they have to be rinsed before any of the blood dries. This isn’t easy because I can go through one pair in a few hours when my flow is heavy, so they really aren’t satisfactory in managing my period. I like the comfort of them, but I am truly disappointed.
